How disappointing...

(If you imagine that in Snape's voice it's almost funny). I just got back from the theater. To this day, I've only read 3 books that were turned into movies, BEFORE I saw the movie. And one of them was complete blasphemy, one was good but lacking and this... it was good, but not what I was hoping for. They (of course) left out so much it hurts. And the ending is the only chunk of it that didn't feel rushed and forced. The director must have had the studio breathing down his neck because it didn't feel very genuine a lot of the time. Some of the major emotional points in the story were completely watered down and the Occlumency lessons were barely present. After waiting this long, after drooling over the release date -- I am sadly deflated. I still liked it... I'm just sad that they treated all the characters besides Harry and Voldemort more like props rather than feeling, breathing friends and foes.

Well, I hope I'll like it anyway. And the oddest thing are funny when said by Snape... ;) (Use your imagination! :D )
I CAN'T WAIT 'TIL BOOK 7!!! And you must have spoiler warnings if you'll be writing about it in your journal! (I've decided to wait until the book comes out in swedish because I read all the others in swedish and I don't want names on things and stuff to suddenly change. :P ) So please warn me.

Sorry to hear it didn't live up to your expectations
Maybe you expected it to be too much alike the book.

I see the book and the movies as separate things :)
I only get angry if there is plotholes.
It has premiere here on the 13th. Still looking forward to it.
Can't be worse than Spiderman 3 (which is the most disappointing movie I've ever seen)

But I read the other ones and the movies didn't disappoint me. I love the first four movies... I didn't expect it to be a literal translation from book to screen -- but there were some great moments in the book that were like breezed by in the movie... :(

sad... for example?

I know the two way mirror arent in, and kreacher doesnt betray the Order by going to the malfoys.
especially the thing with the mirror disappoints me a bit.
but whatever... if the movie works without it...

I think we'll get in november or something too. :x I think the hardest part of waiting (except for the actual waiting :D) will be not being told by anyone. (Random person: "GASP!!! HARRY, RON AND HERMIONE DIES IN THE SEVENTH BOOK!!!" Me: :fork: )
