Yes! He had his (nearly) 2 year old son stand on his right hand. :clap: ... This guy was so super cool. I really hope he comes to the Las Vegas Ren Faire again! Not only was he highly entertaining and superbly funny, he also seems like a very intelligent, genuine human being. :heart: :)

Did you take his juggling class?

No, I have worked along side Adam at Renn faire for some years now. My grandson is just a year younger than his son, and my daughter is friends with his wife. Our family loves his family very much, for much more than entertainment value, They are truely wonderful people. There are more images of him in my gallery.

That's so freakin' cool! :lol: .... Seriously, since I was like 5 years old, I have wanted to run away and join the circus. Instead, I chose a life of mediocracy, but my recent trip to the RenFaire is making me seriously reconsider. What work do you do? Are you a performer or a vendor?! :) How did you get started? Do you have to have a second job? How long have you been doing this?

Sorry for all the questions, but I'm so curious! :love:

I have been doing Ren Faire since 2001, but seriously began to be consumed in 2002, my whole family joined a guilde and went to faires together. So, I am a guildie, although I have been a vendor and a boothie and a hawker and an ale wench. I kind of do a little of everything. Although performance is not my virtue, I prefer to be on the sidelines or in the background when doing that kind of work. I don't dig the spotlight.

If you love doing it, then you;ll know right away. the next time Faire comes into town, go about 2 days ahead of time and see if the vendors that are setting up need help in their booths, that is a good way to start. Be willing to put in a full hard day's work though. It is not all play. If being a boothie is not your thing, then consider looking for renaissance reinactment groups like the SCA or Age of Chivilry and go as a guildie.

There are plenty of ways to become involved that don't consume your life, and you can do part time or just when Faire comes to your area. Traveling is difficult and you don't make lots of money, but you usually m ake lots of friends.
